Sonic Team Style V2.0

First things first, if you have Photoshop 7.0, if you're looking for an EXCELLENT tutorial on how to colour in this style, and if haven't already seen it, go check out ~themie's Sonic Team CG tutorial. Why? Because I didn't think I was good enough at the style to answer people's questions on how to do it. Also it's cos this pic was done using that method, and I'm especially proud of how the colouring has turned out. You could just say this pic was a test of colouring in this new method. It makes my previous Sonic Team CG efforts look a bit crap, in my opinion. A to Mie for sharing her trade secrets! ^_^

This method is completely different to how I usually CG in this style, yet it took around the same amount of time. So if I'm gonna get results like this, I'm gonna stick with it, eh? The lineart itself took about an hour or so to draw and ink (I'm not one to actually go for the official lineart style, as you may have noticed in my gallery), and in some places I'm a bit skeptical about how it turned out. Mainly cos I'm not that experienced at it. As for the colouring, I spent a bit longer than usual on it. Took about 4-ish hours to do, compared to my normal "2 hour rush" jobs.

I like how the background turned out too, I found it lying dormant in my Pictures folder from when I published my vewy first website. :3 Obviously it's from Sonic Adventure, so credit goes to Sega for that. Plus I didn't really want to spend hours on a background, considering I finished at 1.30am. X_x
